Waukesha- Vernon Ponejolic (87) passed away on January 16th, 2014 at Merrill Hill Manor. He was born February 15th , 1926 in Iron Mountain, MI and was raised in Milwaukee, WI. Vernon moved to Kalamazoo, MI where he met his late wife Jean and raised his family. He also served in the Navy during WWII.
Vernon is survived by his children Mike (Barb) Ponejolic and Anne Marie (Keith) Neel. He is further survived by his loving grandchildren Brett (Sara) Ponejolic and Courtney (Jason) Kingma and his only great granddaughter Ryleigh Kingma.
A memorial service to honor the life of Vernon will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer Group.
