Thomas Schoneck

November 11, 1943 ~ March 10, 2017 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Thomas O. Schoneck, age 73 passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 10, 2017. He was born November 11th, 1943 to the late Otis and Margaret Schoneck. Thomas grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from West Division High School in 1962. He served in the Army from 1965 -1967. On August 2nd, 1969 Thomas married the love of his life Carolyn Blaser, and they shared 47 beautiful years together. After they were married, Thomas and Carolyn moved to Burlington, WI. Thomas worked in Murphy's feed mill for seventeen years. He also test drove cars for AMC and MGA. He was involved in the community as a volunteer member of the Lyons Fire Department; charter president for the Lyons Lions Club; and involved in the Lions 27-A1 Cabinet. When he was younger, Thomas was a member of the Order of DeMolay and a Master Mason with Henry L Palmer Lodge in Milwaukee. Thomas will always be known as an avid Packer fan. He also enjoyed bowling in several leagues, especially Sunday couples league with Carolyn.


Thomas will be dearly missed by his loving wife Carolyn, his sister Charlotte Schweitzer, and his brother - in-law William (Connie) Blaser. He is further survived by his beloved nieces Janet (Rogelio) Zavaleta, Karen Fox, Sarah (Shannon) McCoy, and his nephew Nicholas (Alison) Schweitzer; as well as his great nephews Brandon Zavaleta, Josh Fox, and Jake Fox.


Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Otis and Margaret, as well as his in-laws Martin and Cora Blaser.


A celebration of Thomas' life will be held on Tuesday March 14th, 2017 at Plymouth Congregational Church (124 W. Washington St. Burlington, WI 53105). Visitation will be from 5:00pm- 6:45pm, followed by a 7:00pm memorial service. A private family burial will take place Wednesday March 15th, 2017 at Hudson Cemetery of Lyons, WI.
