Rita Schweitzer

Waterford- Rita Ann Schweitzer, age 91

Our Mom, Grandma , Sister,Aunt, and Special Friend, received the promise of eternal life on Tues. Feb. 18th, 2014.She was born Nov. 06, 1922 in Kneeland, Wi. Daughter of the late George and Mary (nee: Stark) Acker. Rita was united in marriage to Milton Schweitzer May 1st 1943. Milton preceded her in death April 18th 1978. Rita graduated from Pulaski High School in 1941. Rita was a Salesperson for 21 years at their family owned business the Waterford Beer Depot. Rita spent her latter years as an exceptional homemaker she loved gardening, reading and baking where she had many secret recipes. Most of all She loved spending time with her family.

Rita leaves to cherish her memories her three sons, Gerald (Connie)Schweitzer, Curt ( Pat) Schweitzer and Steve (Kim) Schweitzer. Her two daughters Mary (Lenis) Anderson , Julie Schweitzer all of Waterford and daughter-in-law Barb Schweitzer of Lodi WI. Sister- in laws Ardyes and Verna Acker, brother - in- laws Ralph(Marge) Schweitzer, Veron (Lois) Schweitzer, Ray (Judy)Schweitzer and Lloyd Schweitzer, many loving grand children, great grand children ,nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rita is proceeded in death by her son Doug Schweitzer, Jospeph & Alice Stanosz, Tony & Ange Jansen, Fran and Ray Boelter, Marge & Jack Zoeller, Daniel and Ivan Acker, Dorthy & Allen Delikat, and her close friend Anita Wolski .

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb 27th, 2014 at 6:00pm at ST. Thomas Aquanis Church 305 First St. Waterford, WI with Father Gene Doda officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 4:00 to 6:00pm. Immediately following the mass there will be a celebration to honor " Rita's Wonderful Life" at the Cotton Exchange (Plantation Room) 345 Hickory Hollow Dr .Waterford Wi. A Private Family Burial Service per Rita's wishes will be on Friday Feb 28th, 2014 at St Thomas Cemetery Waterford , WI.

A Very Heartfelt Thank you goes out to Doreen, Diane, Ann, Faye, Sherry, Verna , Nancy, Pete & MaryAnn Lukas, and Joe Huelskamp for the special love they showed mom. Rita Schweitzer's Family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ali and the entire nursing staff at Aurora Burlington Memorial for their outstanding service and care to Rita.

In Lieu of Flowers Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Church.
