Kathleen Middleton

October 20, 1959 ~ February 8, 2016 (age 56) 56 Years Old

Kathleen Middleton, 56, of Burlington, passed on to eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 8, 2016, in her home. She was born October 20, 1959 to William and Teresa Toman. She spent her early life in Tichigan and spent her adult life in the Burlington area, graduating from Burlington High School. She married Thomas Middleton on March 28, 1981. Kathy was employed for over 20 years with the Burlington Area School District, most recently at Lyons Elementary School as a Library Aide. Kathy was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known as a kind and caring person who always put others needs before her own. Her love for her family and friends was second only to her love for Jesus. Her humble faith is an inspiration to others. Her generous spirit, humor, and thoughtfulness will be greatly missed.


Kathy is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Tom, children Amy (Justin) Fiegel, Sara (Ty) Kolff, and Sam (Libby) Middleton. She was a proud grandmother to Reyna, Westin, Ruby, Kiley, and Reese. She is further survived by her sisters Cindy (Bill) Umnus, Laurie Wright, and Sue (Bill) Stukenberg, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, her brother, James "Toby" Toman, and brother-in-law, Bill Wright.


Services will be held at Community United Methodist Church (455 S. Jefferson St. Waterford, WI 53185) on Saturday, February 13th, 2016. Visitation is at 12:30, followed by a 2:00 service and a reception with light refreshments. Memorials are appreciated and can be made out to Aurora VNA Hospice, Lakeland Humane Society, the new Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, or her family to help carry out Kathy's wishes.


Thank you to Kathy's family and friends for their outpouring of support and encouragement with special thanks to all the medical staff who helped Kathy along her journey, including Dr. Haider and his caring staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, and Erica and Beth with Aurora VNA Home Hospice.
